“Haunted Gold” Out Today On 7″ Vinyl…
Happy Record Store Day 2012!
Have we got a tasty record-shaped treat for you. We could have made a comment about showering you with “Haunted Gold”, but that would be rude and inappropriate. Fingers have bled, printer ink has wafted through the air and we’ve been stood in the model painting section of a craft shop looking shifty, but we’re thrilled to be able to annouce this special release of “Haunted Gold”. Each single has been hand-painted and numbered, in a limited edition of 250. You can adopt one of your very own by visiting those fine chaps at Pie & Vinyl (Portsmouth), Resident (Brighton) and Rounder (Brighton). Alternatively, if you live outside the the UK, or just very far away from the seaside, you can order a copy here. At this point, we’d like to praise our friends at Bonzo Creative for helping to prepare our artwork for print, as well as the nice chaps at Curved Pressings for all their help. We love you, Curved & Bonzo Creative.
Next up are a couple of interviews we did with Sweden’s Invisible Guy and our very own Mr. Von Pip. You can read about our best/worst gigs, how the animation was made and maybe even heartily chuckle at the silly comments we made. It seems like there’s kind of a Chris Lowe/Neil Tennant dynamic going on, but with less hats. No one can compete with such a vast array of hats.
Before we go, we would like to say gracious thanks to the folks behind these torrents of love for our wares; Strong Island, Acid Ted, Hello Empty Room, APL Online (there’s a good bit about Depeche Mode on acid), Brooklyn’s EBCult, Lost At E Minor, The Reel, Electricity Club, KoiKoiKoi, Matt Barnes @ Roundhouse Radio, The Joint and (pausing for breath) It’s My Kind Of Scene. Maximum thankage to those…
